Emergency Services in Lavallee

FIRE/AMBULANCE/POLICE EMERGENCY NUMBER - 911

Volunteer Fire Dept.

  • Fire Chief: Frank Sheppard
  • Deputy Chief: Bruce Wickstrom, Shawn Hyatt, Jim Belluz, Terry Beadle
  • 22 Volunteer members
  • Equipment: Tanker truck, pumper truck, rescue van and auto extrication equipment.
  • Conducts annual smoke detector tests.
  • Mutual aid with other municipality fire departments in the area is in effect.

Ontario Provincial Police

  • Local detachments located in Emo, Fort Frances and Rainy River.

Ambulance Service

  • 24-hour coverage with full-time and volunteer attendants.

Land Fill Site: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.

The landfill attendant is there to ensure that we are in compliance with the MOE and to ensure we get the most out of our landfill site. Landfill Site Access Cards are issued to all residents and landowners in the Municipality and must be in your possession when arriving at the site.

Winter Hours: November 1 - April 30
Summer Hours: May 1 - October 31

  • Sun. 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sun. 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
